This is the page where I'll describe myself in more detail.

I have always had an interest in all things mechanical. I have a background in art and metal working.
Clocks have been a passion of mine for years. I have been restoring and building clocks for quite some time.
As I got deeper involved into the restoration of the movements I began to realize that a lot of parts needed for restoration or replacement just couldn't be bought. I began to do research on the technical end of the clocks. Wheel cutting, depthing, escapements. I have built several tools to help me fabricate these parts.

I was in an antique shop and stumbled on a beat up modern German singing bird cage. The kind with plastic bellows and rubber diaphragms. The bird had but a few feathers left. He was in sad shape. Anyway, I bought the cage for $30.00.

I think I put about 100 hours into restoring that cage. Learned alot and by the time the cage was restored... I was hooked.

What a job!

A job with frustrations? Hard to believe, huh?

Sometimes a bird can be pretty frustrating and stubborn, but when he is done and singing again.... it is all worth it.

And by the way, how many jobs are out there that allow you to play with toys all day?
