Just a couple of pieces that I am proud of

Not really a clockwork mechanism. It is powered by falling sand. It is wound by turning the piece clockwise. This places the sand at the top of the box. The sand falls across a paddle wheel that in turn causes the fiddle players' arm and leg to move in a life-like manner. He is hand painted.

This is my version of an Oswald Moving Eye Clock. He is a hand carved owl sitting on a book. I built the clock movement which rotates his eyes to tell the time. His left eye tells the hours, while the right eye reveals the minutes. I carved him from a clear pine wood. He stands about a foot tall. The movement has approximately a 30 hour running time.
